The city of Ludhiana is the largest city of Punjab and is one of the foremost commercial center of the whole of North India. The city is mainly famous for woolen goods and the Punjab Agricultural University, which is the largest largest agricultural universities in Asia is located in this city. The city houses several industries among which knitwear factories, hosiery yarn mills and worsted and woollen yarns are the most prominent. The city contributes the highest GDP to the state economy. The city also depicts the beautiful picture of the rich culture of Punjab. The city of Ludhiana hosts several festivals among which Lohri, Basant Panchami, Holi and Baisakhi are the most prominent ones. Some of the major tourist spots of the city include Gurudwara Shrimanji Sahib Alamgir, Pir-I-Dastgir Shrine, Punjab Agricultural University Museum, Gurudwara Charan Kamal, Gurudwara Nanaksar Jagroan, Phillaur Fort and Bilwanwali Masjid.
