There are different forms of lymphoma and they need to be attended medically immediately before they go into the latter stages. This is because treatment ill work only when it is in the initial stage. Lymphoma is a type of cancer of the lymphocytes which is a type of cell that forms part of the immune system. It is a cancer of one of the type of cell present in the blood. The lymphocytes goes to the lymph node from the blood so the lymph nodes are mostly involved. When there is an abnormal or excessive growth of these cells, it is called lymphoma. There r 2 types of lymphocytes B and T. Lymphoma are of two types Hodgkin's lymphoma and Non-hodgkin's lymphoma. Hodgkins derive from B cells n non hodgkins from both B and T. Lymphoma of both the kinds can be detected by some of the symptoms like neck swelling, groin swelling, abdominal mass etc. Weight loss without any specific reason is another symptom of such a cancer. Earlier detcetion of it and proper treatment can extend the life span to 10-15years. So it is important that people should be conscious of the health issues and consult the doctor if any such syptoms persist.
