Machilipatnam is situated on the mouth of the River Krishna in the Bay of Bengal on the Coromandel Coast of Andhra Pradesh.It is a famous tourist destination well known for Kalamkari fabrics and Kalahasti decorations. The city is also known as Masulipatnam or Bandar or Masula and is a famous fishing port of the state. The city has a historical story as it was ruled by several Indian dynasties.
