Madhupur is situated in the state of Jharkhand and is a major health resort. The town falls in the Deoghar district and is a popular tourist destination of Jharkhand. The town is situated on the bank of Monsoon River and is bounded by West Bengal and Orissa and the place is highly populated by Bengali and Oriya people. The town is well known for its unique architecture of the temples, which include Dashavatar Temple, Jain shrines, Jharkhandi Dham, Raksha Kali Temple, Baba Sumeshwar Nath Temple etc. The place also features some waterfalls that attracts a horde of tourists from all over. Usri Falls and Mayurakshi River are major attractions of the place apart from the temples.
