Mandu is an ancient town in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is one of the popular heritage destination of India. The town is also known by the name of Mandavgarh. It has a rich historical past and this attracts a horde of tourists from all over the World. Mandu was ruled by Alauddin Khilji, who maned it as Shadiabad. The town was the defence capital of the Rajput Parmara rulers, who ruled Mandu. The town has several monuments which depicts the Afghan architecture. Some of the major attraction of the place include Jahaz Mahal, Hathi Mahal, Darya Khan's Tomb, Dai ka Mahal, Dai Ki Chhotti Behen Ka Mahal, Malik Mughith's Mosque,Jali Mahal, Delphic Oracle, Lohani Caves and Temple Ruins,the Sunset Point, The Jami Masjid, Malik Mughith Masjid, Rupmati Pavilion, Bagh Caves, Baz Bahadur's Palace, Nilkanth Shrine, Ashrafi Mahal, Champa Baoli and Nahar Jharokha.
