Mathura is a town in the state of Uttar Pradesh and is a well-known pilgrimage destination of India. The town has an affluent ancient history and is situated on the bank of river Yamuna. The place has gained religious importance beacuse it is considered to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Mathura has been a hub of Indian culture and heritage since the ancient time. The famous Raaslila of Mathura is an integral part of Indian culture and is an indispensable part of the Holi celebrations. Krishnajanmabhoomi Temple, Vishram Ghat, Rangbhoomi, Banke Bihari Mandir and Mathura Refinery are some of the tourists attractions of the town.
