HI all,

Are there any moms who are pursuing any studies of any sort say distance education or any other sort. My question is how do you manage to study. When do you find time? How successful have you been in taking to study. Also, this question is more addressed to moms who are handling the baby without any help from family (i.e in-laws or parents).

In the last 15 days, I have just come close to moving the book near my table. I am trying to start studying.

:) I know I am trying to juggle too many things at the same time.

I have seen my mom managing time and taking care of the family.. she used to get the time to manage the household works and then study at night.. My mom completed her graduation after the marrige only but When I was about to born she took gap.. after that she started again.. she is a good time manager..

Extraordinary power

There are many instances where the mother is continuing even after the birth of the child. This is something very extraordinary power of the women because they are doing two different types of work – upbringing of the child and continuing study. They can do these works because they have the will power to do some thing in life and to get established in life. The men do not have the patience and will power like the women and hence it is possible only by the women.

Proud of all the moms

I really feel proud of those moms, who are handling such difficult jobs altogether. Being a mom is a great feeling and I really want to ask those moms, who are still pursuing their studies that how do you actually manage to study along with taking care of your family’s newest member?

At the same time I really thank Lord for giving a mother such strength or I should say a magical power that she is able to handle everything in her life so bravely and efficiently. :)

Thank you Lord for all your blessings. And a salute to all the mothers out there because upbringing a new life is itself a wonder.

Ma & Me

I returned to study full time when my Younger Baby was 6 months old, they both go to daycare for days a week and I am at school 2 and a half days a week the extra day is so I can study and get all my homework done. I managed well with the help of my Husband, we basically swapped roles for the year, he's been doing all the cooking and housekeeping and looking after the kids.

Now that school is over for the year I'm finding it hard to get back in the rhythm of things. I feel like I've missed a lot this year with the kids, but I'm studying so I can have a career and earn money to support them and give them a good education. Its manageable you just have set yourself time to study and time to spend with the baby.

I should add I studied via correspondence too, but found it was a lot harder, you need that face to face contact with teachers and other students, not to mention the kids were just too much of a distraction. Going to TAFE was heaps better, I feel I learnt a lot more and enjoyed the interaction.

Hi All.

Studies after marriage and kids? One of the most difficult thing to do, especially in India. The percentage of women are more frequent in completing studies. Even the place where I am working I find many people whose mother has completed her graduation and post-graduation after they got kids.

Hats Off!!!

WHy not? studies are very important for any girl or any one. even if you are married you should go for further studies if you want to and have a desire of doing something for yourself and your family., studies never go waste and is always helpful in maintaining a balance in your life and enhances your personality.

well, studies can be pursued at any point of time and i don't think becoming a mom poses any restraints on they study life. I think all the mothers should take up studies further if they had a break during the marriage or motherhood. This would improve the quality of life of the person and at the same time mothers can look out for jobs if they have good education in hand.

I completely agree with greatindia on the statement given that studies can be pursued at any stage of time. Age does not matter when you actually want to study and have the desire to study. Studies are very important for everyone and after having babies studies does not hamper if you wish to fulfill your dreams.

Education is a life long asset and getting education has no age bar. It has been witnessed that many women after becoming moms do pursue studies and get higher education as it does not restrict them to get education. These women should be saluted for managing time for both family and her studies and are coming with flying colours. These women realize their dreams and work towards fulfilling it.
