The city is know for Dussera festival and is celebrated with great pomp and show for 10 days. This festival attracts a lot of visitors. The city is also know for its distinct culture. The city is also famous for Mysore paintings, Mysore Malliage, the sweet delicacy Mysore Pak and the Mysore Peta, which is traditional turban made from silk. Mysore silk is also famous all over the World. Apart from all these, the city is famous for sandal wood. It is one of the cleanest cities in India and is rich in art and architecture which is evident from the palaces that are now considered as Heritage of India. The city proves the richness of Indian Heritage.
