Nameri is a National Park in the Sointpur District of Assam. It is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas and is a popular tourist destination of the state. The forest that covers the national park is extremely dense and is known in the World as a reserve of endangered species of both flora and fauna. The place is rich in bio diversities and east and south-west bank of Bor Dikorai River. The forest is an adobe of more than 600 species of plants and cane and bamboo trees can be found here amidst the dense deciduous forest. Some of the rare varieties of plants that are found here include Albizzia Lucida, Canarium Strictum, Castanopsis Indica, Bischofia Javanica, Duabanga Sonneratoides, Dendrocalamus Hamiltonii, Amoora Wallichii, Artocarpus Chaplasha, Morus Roxburghii, Syzygium Cumini, Terminalia Myriocarpa, etc.Capped Langur is the main attraction of the place and it is also an adobe of various animals.
