Nationalism Vs Regionalism in Maharashtra

Nationalism Vs Regionalism is aptly said and its taking heights in Maharashtra. People are more concerned about how to protect their state rather than focusing on the nationalism issue. These recent years had been tough for the Maharashtrain populace due to the tiff between the political parties and the local political parties started by some leaders who were against Biharis, UP's people and more over they are against the migration of any other community and region's people.

Why is that happening and people want to divide the state on the basis of region? Will not it create the divisions among the nation and harass the unity of the country? Of course it will! I think that these local political parties should be banned and must not paid any heed by the people and govt and should be strictly taken action against them. Or else they will leave no stone unturn in diving the people and country on the basis of nationalism, regionalism, caste, creed and color.

I do not think it is a good idea to divide people on the basis of color, region, caste and creed. everyone has their own basic right of moving to which ever country or place in and outside the nation they want. If you have all the guts to prove yourself then you can do that while living there itself. You are not stopped by anyone to move to some other place then why are you stopping anyone to come to your land and earn your living. This is what is happening a lot in mumbai. This place is going through tough times when we talk about nationalism and regionalism.

Yes this regionalism is quite rampant in Maharashtra, especially with respect to localized political parties. All this is done to gain political benefits and sympathy of local marathi people. It is high time that we should realize our role as a nationalist rather than regionalist, especially when serving at high commanding statuses such as political leaders. How do you think we can change this?

Undoubtedly regionalism is very much prevalant in Maharshtra and the local parties play a crucial role in it. It is not right to divide the people according to religion, language, caste and creed. It is merely a political stunt to gain popularity among the local people. We should join hands and remove regionalism from the state and work fro the nation as a whole rather than for the state alone.

Maharashtra is a state that promotes regionalism and it is generally done by the regional parties. This is killing nationalism which is actually the need of the hour. The feeling of regionalism is creating discrimination and dividing the Nation on the basis of language or culture which is not healthy for a nation to remain united. It is necessary to promote Nationalism in the state if we want that India should progress and remain united as a Nation.
