"Sacred Games" is a classic of incomparable affluence and clout. Vikram Chandra’s novel draws the reader unfathomable into the life of Inspector and the criminal underworld the most wanted gangster in India. It is an extremely interesting read and it is a thriller. The novel induces with demoralizing pragmatism of the way we live now but echoes with the cleverness and emotional depth of the best of literature.
