Say No To Color Bias

Gone are the days when women were treated as dolls and as objects! Somewhere at least after so many struggles and upheavals women are now being able to stand equal to men and trying their best to contribute their every bit for their own growth and the development of the Nation as well. And in such a case if women are still being judged on the basis of their skin color/physical features then it would surely reflect a menial feature of a jinxed social structure where the talents and skills of a person play no role when it comes to notice the caliber of an individual. There is nothing miraculous and unique in a fair skin color then why do women still have to face so many biases and judgement for their dark skin colors? There are so many young girls and women out there who have to face color biases at different levels of their work and personal life matters. Many of the girls who are darker in skin color do have numerous of complaints against the discrimination they have to face at various stages. But is it really such a big fault to have a dark skin color? In reality dark skin color is actually very useful because it contains a special pigment called the Melanin that has got many positive features and also protects the skin from many harmful effects of sunburn and skin diseases. There are so many famous female personalities around the world who possess dark skin color but still the whole world recognizes them not because of their skin color but because of the talents, skills and specialties they do possess. Nandita Das, Bipasha Basu and Oprah Winfrey are few famous personalities among the women who possess dark skin color but still, anyone cannot resists him/herself without praising them for the great talents they have. Women of today are intelligent, smart, hardworking and moreover educated. Demeaning a person on the basis of a mere dark skin color is itself a very degrading gesture. Hence, women should now be out of the trap of color biases and they should also be recognized for their hard-work and the specialties they possess.
