Should India politicians have US-like TV debates?

The leaders of the major political parties in United States have face-to-face debates on TV shows. Recently there was a debate between the President of US, Obama and the opposition party leader Romney on the TV. These type of debate should be there also in India. Indian Politicians instead of giving speeches to people criticizing one another, they should have face-to-face debate. It is better way to discuss problems about the nation instead of alleging each other for their action. This will also help in reducing many issues. In my view, there should be TV debates between Indian Politicians like US.

This will be great if Indian Politicians have US-like TV debates. This will help the opposition party leader to directly ask the leader of the ruling party about the flaws etc. instead of blaming them in their publ9ic speeches. This will also help the Government to become alert and many issues that India is facing due to bad governance will be solved. Even the Government will function adequately and corruption as well will be reduced to a a great extent.
 
Yes, Indian politicians should have US-like TV debates as this will improve the present political scenario as well as will reduce the corruption. The reason behind this is that they will be watched by people around the World and the politicians of both parties who are in the show will not want to degrade their party name or even their own. So, they will work for the nation in order to avoid criticism from the opposite party.
 
Indian politics can have TV debates like US but it will be of no use in a country like India where most of the people are illiterate and ignorant as well as the voting population of India belongs to this category and they will cast their votes who give them various facilities just before the election. Moreover, the educated and literate section of the population hardly cast their votes so these things wont have any effect.
 
In my view these debates are not going to do any help in India. Indian politics is not similar to US politics. We have a multi-party system which is completely corrupt and these debates will never help Indian politics in any way. Moreover, these debates are watched by the literate and educated class of the society and they already known whom to vote but the problem lies with the ignorant and illiterate people who are bribed by small promise by the politicians just before the election.
