Should Social Media Sites be Censored?

The High Court has dictated the social media networks as well as the other websites to maintain a certain code of conduct and censor those contents that are inflammatory, threat to national security, obscene and objectionable. Is censorship on social media sites justifiable? Is the restriction a fair one? What are your views in these regards?

Everything comes with both merits and demerits and similarly social media. It is a platform to discuss constructive things as well as provide views on certain issues but censoring contents that that are inflammatory, threat to national security, obscene and objectionable are right in my view as it can effect the peace of the nation and moreover social media is used by children as well so censoring obscene and objectionable is no wrong. It is totally justifiable.

I totally agree with you that social media sites should be censored as it is seen that these sites are misused by many people to promote anti-nationalism, which is a threat to our national security. It is also witnessed that there are many objectionable things are put in the social media sites by people and censoring this is important. This is a good decision of the High court.
