Should working women be taxed same as the working men?

I think its a very silly idea to give women tax advantages & and the women themselves asceptin it. I mean common....wat happened to all those women rights groups? Is it fair in ANY way to give women tax offsets? Are they goin through sumthin the men don't?Where's the logic guys? Its all abt equality.

Then the very questionof negating special status to the womanof india sounds incongrous to me?
Wha tis ideal womanhood defined in India ? for that matte in majority of the world's countries?
IT IS THE MOTHERHOOD
would we not give special depth of gratefulness and blessed love to the mother who brought us on this world with her care ,vatsalya(because there is no word equivalent to this in enlish)
This all talk of denying and having a dig at the equlity formula is all bash to me ?
We owe a non repayable debt o our mother
it is this sentiment and loveful regard that seperates father from mother
Though this is extremely debatabe
I am for giving all the special benefits to woman who is the mother of man in all ares of life not only tax benifits which is a trifle
give everything that you have to your mother
Remember in india majority of indians observenavraatras which are nothing but a prayer to mother
It is our mother land not father land like tattered russia or twisted communistic parlance I am for giving a special status to woman in INdia who are potential mothers

you canot be ungrateful to progeney giver that is mother if they want equality grant them if they want tax concessions show the grace ,if any special treament to them is meted be gracious fromcenturies they have suffered at the hand s of mam and these are trifles for the gift of lifethat a womangives all the humaninity

A Wrong Policy
When the ladies are drawing salary equal to their male colleagues why there is difference in the case of taxation. The policy of equal work and equal pay is good but in the matter of taxation, giving special privilage of taxation to ladies is a wrong policy of government.

No, it is not wrong policy. Women take on much more burden than women since they need to take care of home and then come to office and work. They also need to take more leave on loss of pay if needed to take care of children. Thus, the government is acknowledging their contribution to the country by giving them a few concessions. Nothing wrong.

These centuries old laws should change if we are to progress as a nation. I have seen people fight to get a caste certificate. Do we not understand, these laws were made by fools to gain political advantage. It's high time, we say as one "do not tax us as unequals".

Is it fair to give working women tax advantages? They fight for equal rights everywhere. Then why can't there be equality here? Let's not make them feel inferior, weak and depended guys. Let there be equality
It is an accepted fact in India that even if a woman is working she still has to look after the home and the chidren. The husband may contribute but the burden falls mainly on her.
Also very often men expect women to give up their careers, however successful, so as to ensure the home front is not neglected.
If we expect women to be part of the country’s workforce, we have to give them certain benefits such as tax advantages.
This encourages them to work. It will also discourage men from expecting them to quit their jobs unless absolutely necessary. We can talk about equality when men and women share all tasks equally, which is definitely not the case in India.
If we really want equality, then why is this discrimination? In my view, working women should also be taxed equally as working men. Both working women and men have same responsibilities, then why is this discrimination? There should be equality in everything and one should not get added advantages on the basis of gender. These added advantages for women brings in more difference between both the genders.
Working women should be taxed same as the working men. If women fights for equality in everything then why do they take these advantages like relaxation of tax etc? By doing this, they are lowering their status and cannot again equality in the society. They should remain strong and should not accept favors like reduction of tax etc. if they really want equal status in the society.
