Sony Xperia ion is a new high-end Smartphone launched by Sony. The phone has a very sophasticated look with metal finish and morsel of plastic on the top and bottom of the phone. The phone has a display LED-backlit LCD with scratch-resistant glass screen of 4.6 - inch with HD resolution. The phone features a 1.3 Mp front facing camera along with the proximity sensor, notification LED and ambient light sensor but has not included auto-brightness to it. A 12Mp camera is located at the rear with LED flash. Sony Xperia ion is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 SoC used in the Xperia S. Although the phone is a high-end deveice and uses Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the Smartphone faces a lot of problem during performance. It is a quad-band GSM and quad-band 3G phone with support for advanced 42Mbps HSDPA and 5.8Mbps HSUPA speeds. It also supports Wi-Fi connection and the internal storage is 16GB which can be expanded using microSD card. Scores of Internet and social apps comes along with the phone. The phone is priced at Rs. 36,000/-.
