Superman no longer a US citizen

Superman in his latest comic release plans to go to UN to denounce his US citizenship to become a global citizen. He claims his every move is deemed one that has been orchestrated by the US government and he despises that. Even the superman is distancing himself away from the US government ?

well in my view its just the comic character and the story goes in that way. the media is making it an unnecessary hype and connecting the real life with the comic characters. it could possibly mean relatively in real life but i dont think it is done to bring out the atrocities of the US government.
