Thanjavur is known as the granary of South India as it is famous for agriculture and is the biggest rice producer of Tamil Nadu. This is among the ancient cities of India and was ruled by the Chola Kings. The city is located in the bank of Cauvery river and the green paddy fields, coconut trees and vegetation enhances the beauty of the place.
