Assam was a land where people of various tribes resided and being the gateway to North-East many people from various places came to Assam and dominated the region. Still many tribes reside in Assam and has their own culture and traditions. Although, people of many tribes have converted into Christians, many still follows the old traditions and religion. They still worship trees, fire, air, water etc as Gods and still believe that these possesses super natural power.
