During the pre-wedding celebration both the families of the bride and the groom visit each other and exchange gifts. The next part is the actual wedding wherein the bride and the groom ties the conjugal knot in front of the holy fire, followed by a grand wedding feast. The last part is “Vidai” where the bride leaves for her maternal home to start the new journey of her life.
