What Does the New Age Indian Media Lack?

Indian media has certainly grown over the time. Previously we had only newspapers and magazines as a major means of communicating to the public. And now we have plethora of channels of communication which are used by the New age Indian Media. Since the information is very easily available, not many media companies deploy investigative journalism to bring out some real good stuff which needs public/government attention. I feel that the new age indian media lacks will to investigate or unearth some good news/stories which public might be interested in. What do you think?
 
The new age Indian media lacks sensibility. They work just for making money but they do not provide sensible news that is worth publishing and broadcasting. Media which is considered to be the mirror of the society is not acting responsibly enough as they should have. Moreover, it has turned out to be just a business and of course blended with corruption. Do you agree with me?

Exactly. I don't know how would the youth of India in Media would do. There are many courses in media and journalism. Young students are taught how to work technically but ethics is the most important part which lacks in the current media. How do we bring a sense of morality and ethics in the young journalists and media personnel remains a question. How can the Indian youth take it forward? Should it be at individual level or should it be a collective effort?

You have rightly remarked here about the ethics and the belongingness towards your country and truth comes from within which could be taught if not confused the children on the popularity of the news and also The TRPs silly game.
 
I also agree ethics is the most important thing that needs to be taught to our youth. Journalism is starting to become too much about money than an ethical and interesting story.
 
The new age Indian media definitely lacks clarity, nose for news and tact. We can see a growing trend in dissemination of sensational news rather than information that directly or indirectly is in the best of our interests. I really don’t understand how reputed dailies find rumors entailing celebrities about their personal life and choices affecting our daily lives. It is rather surprising that so many cases of rape or dowry or corruption by government officials go unreported yet a day-to-day update of an individual capable of triggering controversy is always on time. This shows how some of the emerging dailies are hungry for commercialization of news rather than delivering on social lines.
