Whats your opinion on tobacco in India?

Hello,

The use of tobacco in India has been quite rampant, its going to kill over 1 million people by 2010. So we have a chance to do something about it since the world conference on tobacco or health is going to take place in Mumbai nex month.

Proud 2B Indian gives you the platform to speak your mind on this issue, whether it is for it or against, we want to know what people think about tobacco usage, policies, the ban, gutkha etc. Your opinion will be put forward to the policy makers during the event.

hi .....tobaco the main reason is it is cheap and all of us want something to have daily and that too with taste and all ... so people get habit of eating this .. this is wat i think about that tobacco people having good businesss in india..

It should be completely banned in India...People take tobacco at huge scale and it should be banned as it causes skin cancer and otehr harmful diseases .. it is very harmful for digestive system and heart as well.. :eek:
 
Huge revenue comes to Government through tobacco in India..If we talk practically then it cannot be prohibited .. but it should be banned and must use only for useful purposes as in medicines and other uses..Tobacco has many harmful effects on human body.. So it must be banned!!
 
wHo would like tobbaaco? yes people who are addict would definately liek it but it must be banned which is quite impossible.. as government make huge revenue though the tabbacco sale..But one thing is good that a dangerous warning has been engraved on the pouches of the tobacco inhaler and taker.
 
Tobacco really is a disaster for the health of human both who are taking actively and also passively. However the first step which should be taken is that--- stop selling tobacco or like this stuffs to the teenagers as this are causing our future to be ended in a few years.
 
Tobacoo is considered as bad for mouth and kidney as well as breathing pipe in the human body. still people eat it like anything. It can produce mouth cancer inside teh mouth of the people who eat it in excess.. they should read the matter on the internet about the harmful affects of tobacco..
 
Effects of tobacco intake

Tobacco is very bad and it is the root cause of different life threatening diseases. It can cause cancer in the mouth, throat and even in stomach. It increases heart attacks, strokes, lung cancer and other dangerous diseases. It can lead a person towards darkness. Cigarettes are very harmful and 19 different types of harmful chemicals are uses. The pregnant mothers must not take tobacco as it may cause different types of complications.

Tobacco in India is spreading like anything . Every year thousands of people dying in India from tobacco. So plz say no to tobaco.

Tobacco in India is talking toll over many lives. Today even a teenager is some or the other way addicted. Smoking and gutkas are the basic ways of consuming tobacco. The company’s manufacturing these should be barred for the same. The advertisements should not be highlighted in any form and also there should be special rehab centers for people to come over their addiction of tobacco.
