When the beggary will be stopped?

When will the biggest problem f india: Beggary will be stopped? The future of india depends up on the elimination of the poverty and around 30 to 40 percent of the indian people are living below poverty line. When the beggary will be stopped? This practice is banned by the central government but still you can see many people that includes mainly children. When this practice will get a full stop?

People have made it their profession and many big chains are indulged in this business. Big names and Big people.
 
until and unless the government take measure steps in this regard nothing can be done. Beggars will not listen to any reformers or do not listen to the common people. They need a strict rule and regulation say: beggary must be banned and policemen should take these beggars behind the bars if seen on the road doing their jobs. Then only something can be done in this regard. otherwise things will remain the same.
 
beggary is ironically increasing day by day.. im astonished to find even healthy and fit people begging on roads.. moreover they look like coming from a normal family who is surviving moderately. since begging is an easy way to get money without any much work involved, people are shamelessly taking up this job.. i agree that such people should be put behind bars.. atleast for few days to create fear in them..
 
Beggary can never be stopped in India. The two main reason is Govt and we. Govt, I don't know why has stopped seeing poor people and neglected the factor of beggary. And we always used to give them rupees despite of encouraging them to work.

The attitude of beggar is so much indifferent that if you ask them to do some work and for that if you offer them even Rs. 50 they will clearly say that they will earn more by begging in the mean time.

That's pathetic.

If you think that particular issue can never be stopped or something can never be changed then it means you yourself are not interested in bringing the change in the society. Beggary can be stopped but it needs a mass support along with the government support to put ban on beggary completely. Government should provide jobs to these beggars suitable to them. It can be then controlled to some extent.

Its not like that. But it is really frustrating. The policies by Govt is out of reach of those people who really need it. The intermediates are so much corrupt that one can't imagine. Just now we have seen that in Adarsh scam. Before introducing any policies Govt has to create a mass awareness program and this cannot be successful until and unless state Govt won't help.
 
No where in India we can stop beggars. You know what, we found many beggars on traffic signals every day. We’ll find them in all ages but no one will try to share a word with them in a friendly manner, instead we get rid of them by throwing coins on them. Unless and until we feel responsible for their poor, there’s no use of this kind of discussions
 
I hardly think that beggary can be stopped in india until govt and people think above their selfish interest. It is very important to think about others and poor people by the govt of india and must not just think about how they can fill their pockets and spend crore in political party and rallies. Poverty give rises to beggary and which in turn give rises to unexpected and expected crimes such as murder, kidnapping, stealing and robbing. All these things are the bane for indian society. People and govt should stop beggary by increasing the economy of the country. It is a sad news that country's economy is increasing but the situation of the poor is becoming more poorer day by day.
 
Beggary is the growing and persistent problem of india. this problem cannot be solved until people stop corruption and use all the government and public money for the use of people. It is very important for the government to take step against the people who are forcing corruption and moreover need to make some changes in the system as well to improve the economy. They should introduce several techniques to enhance the economy and use the money to provide employment to poor people based on their quality of work. This way beggary can be eliminated to some extent.
 
Indian government is feeding Kasab since last two years with full security forces. Not only kasab Indian government provides food clothes and shelter for criminals as well. They were not only kept in barracks for total imprisonment age, but they were provided with work or various sports activities during their imprisonment time. I think that government has enough money and support that they can feed the beggars and provide them some work. Various government officials should catch beggars and provide them everything like criminals. But they shouldn't be treated as criminals as such, but should be allowed to live their life on their petition.
 
@sweetangel: Indian government has money to spend on their fellow politicians and they can provide all amenities to them even in the jails such as TV, Good food, AC, electric gadgets etc. But they do not have money to feed the indian poor people or provide them some job. They are feeding criminals with high amenities but do not care at all about the ones who are roaming o road and are innocent. This is the irony of indian government.
 
@economist: I am very much agree with your thoughts as they have everything to do for their own benefits but do not have enough money to feed those poor people. If government of india wants then they can eradicate the problem of poverty from the country soon but the thing is they all are busy in making money for their own and hence do not have enough time to think about the nation and take things for granted. This is the biggest problem of indian govt as they do not think about making policies for beggars and poor people.
 
I find it ironic that we are discussing about stopping the beggary whereas the actual figures of beggars have been increasing over the time. The poor are finding it easy to make money by beggary. The whole family is set out on the task of begging and in metros each person easily collects about 100-300 rupees which collectively amounts to good bucks. So they are not very keen on working hard in other genuine ways to earn money by giving up this easy task of beggary.
 
There's good money in being a beggar it seems. To tell the truth I still prefer the beggars over the Eunuch's who harass people on the roads here in Bangalore. What they are doing amounts to daylight robbery!
 
Beggary has developed into an industry of making easy money. Government have taken steps to eradicate it from the society by providing employment opportunities, making houses for them etc but all in vain. These beggars are like parasites and they are happy not to work and earn easy money. This can be stopped by making stern laws and if any one is seen begging on the roads should be immediately arrested and even the ones that gives money to the beggars should also be punished severely.
 
Beggary has become a major issue of concern in India today. Beggary means non-utilization of human resources available. It is seen that it has developed into an industry and Government seems to be doing nothing to stop beggary. Beggars are a great vote bank for the political parties and so nothing is done to remove it. It is increasing day by day and like other issues, it is a big hindrance in the path of progress and development of the nation. It should be dealt with soon. Begging should be made a crime and a punishable offense under law.
 
Beggary is the result of poverty which India has been facing since a long time. More than 37% of the population is still below poverty line which is the reason for increasing beggary in India. However, beggary will come to end only if the problem of poverty is tackled. The problem of poverty will be tackled with reformation of economic policies.

Beggary in India is not the result of poverty but it is the result of dirty politics of our politicians. These beggars are the vote bank of the politicians and beggary can only be put to an end by declaring beggary as a crime. Beggary is growing into an industry and this need to be stopped, which is possible only by enacting laws against it as well as by providing severe punishments.
