Cases of rape are registered almost every second day in India. This is becoming rampant and the women folk is not at all safe in the India today. It has been witnessed that most of the victims are minor girls and are being mostly rapped by their kins or known people. Rapes and sexual crimes are at a great rise in India. Only the accused is not responsible rather the whole legal system is responsible for rise of rapes in society. India lacks in proper laws, moreover, the society is also equally responsible for it. Our laws are not so strong in regards to rapes and due to its time-taking procedure many victims do not approach the legal system for justice.
This is a question that actually needs to be answered not only by the people but the government. Why is India no more a safe place for women? Is it the result of modernization or something else? Before everything else, the whole Legal system should be reformed. Moreover, the Indian culture has been influenced by western culture and sex has become too open. The other reason is male wants to prove their masculinity by forced sex.

The rising rapes in the society has become a matter of serious concern, especially in the state of Haryana. Socio-economic factor plays an important role in increasing the number of rapes and crimes in India. Even the law of the land is not efficient enough to tackle these grave issues. However, apart from these reasons, there is a need of massive social reform which will help in stopping the rapes and crimes.
The main reasons of increasing rape cases are our system and society. our society is male-dominant society. we have a lot of restrictions for girls but we do not have any restrictions for boys. so if a girl goes to bars than people put questions on her character.
After the rape cases in haryana, khap panchayat said to decrease the marriage age of girls. our system is very weak. we have laws dealing with rape cases but there implementation is very weak. so we need to change the mantality of our male-dominant society and government need a lot of work on laws to curb it.
