Indian women have changed to a remarkable extent and they have reached the zenith of success in various fields. Many Indian women have evolved a successful entrepreneurs in recent times. However, Indian media has still not able to overcome the stereotype image of Indian women. They still portray the image of women as vulnerable and the most dominated section, who are kept behind the four walls of the house. In my opinion, media needs to change their outlook and portray the modern day, empowered and successful women and come out of the old image that they hold of Indian women. What do you think?

I agree with you that Indian media is yet to overcome the change in Indian women. Indian women have become developed and they no longer stay within the four walls of their houses. They have become independent but Indian media, still portray women as they were years back. They should definitely change their outlook towards women and show the actual Indian women, who are empowered to a great extent.

With globalization, media plays a substantial role in providing as well as propagating information. Media is one of the major player in the socio-economic development and progress of women. However, Indian media has always depicted women as vulnerable and as victims. They are portrayed as conscientious, religiously fanatical, craving for their own family, politically naive, socially predestined and culturally advanced. But this is not Indian women are. It is time that Indian media changes its mind-set and portray women as they actually are. They are no longer conscientious, religiously fanatical, craving for their own family and politically naive. They have become independent and they are no longer vulnerable. Do you agree with me?
