Why we need this Bill?
33.3 percent seats in Parliament and state legislatures for women is it good to reserve seats?

What you have to say all girls and even mens how many support this?
 
Not a good idea, I must say, as most of women representatives will actually be proxies to their convict husbands who cannot fight elections by themselves. What about equality of men and women, aslo women constitute ~50% of our pupulation and not just 33.3%.
 
like the other reservation issues .. this too will Widen the gap between Male and Women colleagues at a work place, This age old notion Of ' Superior Alpha Male' is going gradually and now women have a fair say [rather a better standing, hats of to Indra Nooyi, Kiran Majumdar Shaw, Zia modi, and the long never ending list ... if such kinda policies come into picture ...the clash of egos will turn into an open War.

We all know in our democracy how the 'policies' are conceived and are made, extending that how they are implemented.being a Lawyer a little reference regarding this ... since some 40 years the domestic Violence Bill was there in every political speech but got recognition in 2005 .. with feeble protection to Women, law is gender biased itself, plethora of feminist Jurisprudence, Laws if made are toothless up to an extent.
 
Tanya, It is evident that strong laws like "Dowry Act" have been grossly misused. Also there is no general rule that men are evil and strong while women are angels and weak. Bringing in new laws will change nothing, what is needed is changing our society and mindset, which is a slow process.
 
When we say Women's are as equal as men then why thye need reservation its like saying womens u are not eqally compitent to us so u need reservation.

Reservation in any form is not acceptable even in Education system,Jobs or any field.We should understand if we really want to help those who are minority(it may be cast's or women in politics) help them to earn there job,Mp seat,education do not feed them these.
We can help to get them talent we cant give them talent,so pleas dont give any reservation in any form help them to get it :)
