Would you marry a man who earns less than what you make?

Well, I myself is a male individual. Even sometimes I wonder about this thing whether a Girl to whom I marry make me acceptable if she find my earning lesser then her. I know that all this big caliber word like "True Love" and all other things, but today's life simply doesn't allow us to carry on with anything other then money. It need great heart among the girls to truly accept a boy with little earning espcially for modern womens. :eek:
 
this is a very subjective question, and depends from person to person.

as far as I am concerned, getting married to "less earning" man, that depends on what profession he's got.

for example, defence guys DO NOT earn much, but then again, I'll be MORE than Happy to marry a Leuitenant or a Captain (waiting for my captain to be posted to a "reachable" location where we could talk everyday) :P

I always dream of falling in such situation, she can rule and take all responsibilities in this small world, I can be content with shopping for monthly ration, I can even go to the extent of hiding my actual salary and flattening my bank accounts for bad days.
 
in short you want to become an "in-house" Son in law!!

Well,,,,if you do the dishes, cook food and maintain the house..you wont have any trouble finding the girl but hiding the salary & flattening the bank accou8nts might get you in trouble.

you see...we DON'T need competition at least in this area from Men.
 
I don't think there would be any problem.. to me everyone is equal and one should accept the fact that girls and boys are treated equal by the society.. there is no harm if girl earns more than a boy or boy earns less than a girl..it hardly matters now a days..
 
Definitely, I would love to marry.. there are few things which are not sold.. It is love and care but there is no doubt that these things are vanishing day by day from the hearts and minds of people.. but as for me.. it still exists..
 
but why should someone marry another man/woman based on his/her salary? dont you think it is not a good question by itself? you cant go to a girl and ask her about her salaries and then propose.

Hi. Your question is really tricky to answer but what I think is that the decision basically is not just concerned with the financial requirements but apart from money there are many other things also that are similarly important in a successful relationship.

Though money is a big requirement today but love nowhere lacks behind. True love can definitely rule over any such financial issues.

Obviously, if both the partners are earning well for their household, does it really matter who is earning less or who is earning more? :confused::confused:

In today's materialistic world you will rarely find girls who will agree to marry a man who earns less than her. Even in case of love marriages, girls expect their man to earn more than her and this is also because of societal pressure. Our Indian society which is a patriarchal society does not accept the fact that a girl can earn more than her husband. However, in my view it should not matter who earns how much but in case of marriage how well both of them go along should matter more.
