But whatever the causes may be, headaches can be cured naturally using the herbs which do not pose any risk to the health.

How to Cure Headache Naturally with Herbs

  • Feverfew (Chrysanthemum parthenium) is a traditional herb with medicinal properties. It is also grown as ornamental plant in the gardens. Chewing 2-5 leaves of feverfew can give you immediate relief from headache. And if you are suffering from chronic migraine, you could rather chew 4-5 leaves everyday for about a month. Over the long run this would cure the migraine.
  • Herbal tea is great in helping you feel relax and relieved of headaches, especially of those which are brought on by stress. Boil 1 teaspoonful of chamomile in water. You could actually inhale the vapors while boiling it as they give you great soothing effect. Strain the herbal tea and sip it slowly to get quick relief.
  • Ginger and Lemon are a great remedy to treat headaches. Boil ground ginger for few minutes and make a decoction out of it. Add lemon juice and sip it. This remedy works great in case of headaches caused during sinusitis and cold.
  • Eucalyptus Oil when inhaled in steam helps in alleviating headache. Put few drops of eucalyptus oil in steaming water and inhale it covering yourself with a cloth so that you get maximum exposure to the vapors.
  • Hot water bath also helps in soothing your strained muscles. You can actually take up a hot water bath by adding some aromatic oils like peppermint/eucalyptus. This really works well for sinus headaches and headaches due to stress.

Following a combination of any of the above treatment regimens would work better in case you are suffering with chronic and intense headache. If the symptoms persist for more than a week, you should consult a doctor to know the underlying cause.
